Global Sounds #301 Wednesday 02-09-09

In this show, we'll continue our journey around the continent of Africa, listening to artists from different countries. Last week we stopped in South Africa and tonight we'll start from there with a track from Hugh Masakela off his PHOLA album. He will be making his Australian debut tour, appearing on the 8th October in Melbourne's Hamer Hall




We'll be covering the Melbourne Muslim Festival, part of the City of Darebin Music Feast from Sat. 5th until Sun. 20th September and have a "chat" with sitar master, Ustad (Maestro) Khalil Gudaz one of the most outstanding practioners of Afghani and Hindustani music in Australia today.



We'll have a track from the GRIGORYAN BROTHERS, Slava & Leonard from their new DISTANCE album. They are currently on their DISTANCE 2009 tour.
