Show #281 Wednesday 15-04-09

This show, we'll be playing music from either indigenous Australian artists, artists born in Australia of parents who have migrated to this country, or artists who have come from other parts of the world for various reasons and now call Australia home.

SEAMAN DAN'S
new album 'SAILING HOME'

is a celebration of the music and life of one of Australia's most distinctive singer-songwriters. He is an ARIA Award winning Torres Strait Islander proud of his family and culture - and also proud of his lifelong love of the sea. The songs on 'SAILING HOME' were chosen to highlight some of its beauties, its joy, and its dangers - and what it has meant to a true man of the sea. We'll play a selection.

  • This sounds like it's going to be a GREAT show.
GS always has such a variety of music. Incidentally, but important, I hate most of the music, but I still listen. It has great Credibility.

  • Awww, I'm sorry I missed it. Meanwhile, I recently met Deborah Cheetham - Indigenous Lesbian Opera singer. That was a wow moment for me.
